*I’ll be uploading my Instagram posts from our time in NICU, followed by a more recent picture of Rex, so you’ll be able to see the difference and keep-up with our journey*

More roses, because I love them

“Making sure that I appreciate the lovely things outside of NICU today, before I head there to see Rex 😊

💫Beautiful flowers from loved ones

💫Re-reading all the cards and messages we’ve received 💫Good coffee

💫Picking out a story book to read him today

💫Fresh sheets 💫Sunshine (and fresh air/outside in general)

💫Snacks 😋

Thinking about his breathing mask, still breaks my heart; he never seemed comfortable

“Rex is starting to spend more time off his cpap, or breathing assistance. It’s both magical and terrifying for me. It’s definitely a case of slow and steady, much like NICU in general 💕

Obviously, I cannot wait for him to be ready for us to bring home. But, the main thing is that he’s strong and healthy, no matter how long it takes ⏰

He’ll do some more time without his mask today, and we can time it so that I can get to cuddle him at the same time 🤗

So, I’ll get to look in detail at his dreamy little cheeks, and his ever-changing features. I also get to kiss the top of his head 🥰

I basically spend the whole time trying not to totally inhale him. These moments are as perfect as it gets for now, and I adore them; whether he’s wearing his mask or not ♥️ I will never take scooping him up in my arms, whenever I want, for granted 💫

Our long weekend will consist of more of the same, and his dad can get in on the action too. We are also registering him, so it’s going to be a special day tomorrow. I hope you get to hang out with your faves, this bank holiday ☺ Big love 💖 x”
