So I guess that this is the slightly awkward first post where I introduce myself. If you hadn’t guessed already; I’m Fay, a proud Brummie who lives in the Jewellery Quarter area of the city. I felt it was time to start blogging as it’s been one of those things that I’ve been meaning to do since I had my thyroid removed in October last year (learn more about that in the About section). I write other people’s blogs and content to pay my bills, and it’s varied and challenging work; I write about everything from finance and business, to mulch and industrial machinery. There’s a place for everything and everyone; but dump trucks and the stock market don’t set my world alight. So I’ve decided to get my own little space on the internet, squeeze myself into the crowd, and say hey.
My husband and dog were away this weekend, so I decided that this was the perfect opportunity to stay up until the early hours and get to grips with WordPress. I also couldn’t sleep because it’s scary being in the apartment on my own at night and I’d just watched the trailer for IT (worst idea ever). I felt that the busier I kept myself, the less likely a killer clown was going to appear at my window (after climbing up his ladder because I don’t even live on the ground floor). I’m pleased to say that I made it through the night and can continue to grace you all with this level of quality content.
I think I will round up this short (for me) introduction to my shiny new blog, and I’ll leave you with some food pics from Rofuto. I ate there last month and suitably stuffed my face with a variety of Japanese delights. I hope you’ll find something here that sparks an interest or makes you smile.
Peace, love, and panna cotta, Fay x
